We have strong links with our parish community. Our parish priest, Canon Stanley, regularly joins us to celebrate mass in school. We welcome parishoners to join us at Mass in school and special Feast Days led by the pupils.
At key times throughout the year, namely Advent and Lent, Canon Stanley offers us the sacrament of reconciliation within our school. We also are very grateful to Deacon Anthony who leads us in Liturgy of the Eucharist, Ash Wednesday and other services within the year. We enjoyed Deacon Anthony’s company on our pilgrimage walk to St Hugh of Lincoln church as part of our Cafod Big Lent Walk.
We work closely with Canon Stanley and the parish office to support our Year 3 children when they receive the sacraments of Reconciliation and Holy Communion. Parents and children take part in a comprehensive program of study in preparation for these sacraments and school staff support this special time through a celebration Mass in the school week.
